The focus will be on:
- the problematic definition of the term “literature” and “literary translation”;
- the concepts of intertextuality and literary stylistics;
- the importance of sound and typography in the text;
- prosody (rhythm and metre) and rhetoric;
- poetic devices (rhyme, alliteration, assonance);
- different figures of speech
- different narrative techniques, point-of-view;
- different poetic forms and genres;
- different approaches to translating poetry, prose and drama.
