Pogovor s prof. dr. Mieke Verloo o intersekcionalnosti in politikah enakosti

Vljudno vas vabimo na pogovor s politologinjo, prof. dr. Mieke Verloo z Univerze Radbound na Nizozemskem. Mieke Verloo je ena od vodilnih znanstvenic na področju ukvarjanja z intersekcionalnostjo in vprašanji neenakosti.

V pogovoru z Romanom Kuharjem bo razpravljala o svojih izkušnjah preučevanja in praktičnega ukvarjanja z intersekcijskim pristopom k diskriminaciji, politikam enakosti in naraščajoči opoziciji proti tovrstnim praksam.
Mieke Verloo je profesorica primerjalnih politik in vprašanj neenakosti na Univerzi Radbound na Nizozemskem in razsikovalka na IWM (Institut für die Wissenschaften vom Menschen) na Dunaju. Bila je znanstvena direktorica dveh obširnih evropskih projektov, ki sta se ukvarjala s politikami enakosti (MAGEEQ in QUING), na tem področju je svetovala tako Evropski komisiji kot vrsti nacionalnih vlad, v zadnjem času pa se posveča predvsem analizi napadov na enakost spolov in druge politike enakosti. Njena zadnja knjiga (Varieties of Opposition to Gender Equality in Europe) je izšla leta 2018 pri založbi Routledge. Leta 2015 je prejela nagrado za življenjsko delo (Gender and Politics Career Achievement Award), ki jo podeljuje ECPG (European Conference on Politics and Gender).
Pogovor je organiziran v okviru raziskovalnega projekta »Državljanstvo in diskriminacija: intersekcijski pristop k raziskovanju družbene izključenosti« (ARRS, J6-9381). Dogodek bo potekal v angleškem jeziku.

In a conversation with Roman Kuhar she will discuss her views and experiences of researching the intersectional approach to discrimination, equality policies and the growing resistances to gender+ equality.
Mieke Verloo is Professor of Comparative Politics and Inequality Issues at Radbound University in the Netherlands and Non-Residential Permanent Fellow at IWM (Institute for the Human Sciences) in Vienna. She has been Scientific Director of two large-scale European projects on gender equality policy (MAGEEQ and QUING) and has advised both European Commission and a number of national governments in this area. Most recently she has been focusing on the analysis of attacks on gender+ equality. Her most recent book (Varieties of Opposition to Gender Equality in Europe) was published by Routledge in 2018. In 2015 she received the Gender and Politics Career Achievement Award from the ECPG (European Conference on Politics and Gender).
The discussion is organized as part of the research project "Citizenship and Discrimination: An Intersectional Approach to the Research of Social Exclusion" (ARRS, J6-9381).
