Content
Students of the first cycle (undergraduate), combined programme Sociology acquire basic knowledge about social processes, the distribution of social power, and culture more broadly. This enables graduates to analyse and think critically and constructively about the cultural past as well as contemporary ideational and material processes in a dynamic society. In combination with other study programmes at the UL Faculty of Arts, graduates are trained to interdisciplinarily integrate and intertwine the orienting knowledge of both disciplines. With such a complex profile, they are preferably employable in various professional fields, where they upgrade their social scientific, humanities or linguistics knowledge with critical sociological imagination and sociological reflection of cultural practices.
