A short presentation of the Slovene language system - from phonetics, morphology, lexicology, syntax to orthoepic-orthographic knowledge - with an emphasis on contrastive analysis between West Slavic languages.
Students are trained to properly express themselves in Slovene in written and oral form (use of electronic tools, knowledge of the norm of standard language and diversity of text genres). With the help of various real texts, students use their knowledge of West Slavic languages in the creation of Slovene texts (comparative treatment of certain linguistic issues) and texts in the language they study. With an in-depth analysis of Slovene, they also form shorter texts in various West Slavic languages, which are then analyzed throughout the course.
