In the seminar we will focus on acquiring basic conceptual tools of humanities and social science research, particularly in the fields of sociology and anthropology, through reading the classics of social theory as well as research papers that deal with the topic of culture, national culture and Japanese culture in Slovene, English and Japanese. The acquired knowledge will be used to deepen the understanding of Japanese society and culture.
